Votes count after 30 seconds of listening, or halfway through shorter songs.

Turn off player shortcuts to avoid accidental actions. Tab navigation, focused buttons and position-slider keys still work.
Press play. Best rated: up-votes and plays, small samples held back.

Filters change results, not your current queue. Play results starts those songs; ↳ adds a song next. Explicit labels are supplied by contributors, not a guarantee of clean lyrics.

How the charts work

Two things count: votes (▲ or ▼, one per listener per track, changeable) and plays(counted once per listener per track per day, a little way into the song). Nobody signs up to do either; the browser gets a cookie and that is the whole account. A passkey or a link code makes it follow you across devices.

Top is what the room rates, weighted so a handful of votes cannot outrank a crowd.Hot is what is moving now and cools off with time. A vote only counts once the listener has actually heard the track, and the same listener counts once. The exact weighting is the station's business — the point of it is that the honest thing (listen, then vote) is also the only thing that works.

The Station order on the front page is not a chart. It is rotation: mostly from the top of the chart, with every new track getting its turns in front of listeners before it has numbers of its own. Radio has always done this.
